i have so much to be thankful for.
i have my true love, my little darlings, a cozy house & a vehicle that works.
all the necessities of life...
& plenty of the non essentials that make life so delicious...
But on Thanksgiving - i never fail to be thankful for my sisters.
We have made it a sort of tradition - in this season of our lives - to get together at Thanksgiving. We don't know how many more years we'll get like this - where we have all our little ones living under our roofs - able to get together with cousins, aunties & uncles & grandparents for a little music, a little turkey, a little playing - & our family's tradition - a little play.
Usually, we let Jessie (our middly sister) host. Not only is she the quintessential hostess - but her house is so perfectly suited for company, being big enough to host us all - with the added bonus of barns & bushes, bunnies, animals & all sorts of opportunities for outdoor exploration, bush tag & evening hot tubs.
But this year... they let me host. My mom & dad flew in & mom took me to Costco to fill my cupboards to bursting for the hoard of tiny hungry mouths :)
Our house was stretched at the seams for the few short hours that all 29 of us were here... & then the overlap ended & one sister's family left to make room for the other to bed down for the night.
i love Thanksgiving & i thank God for the gift of family.

Beautiful, Paige! Love it!!
I only wish I was part of your girls' busy, lovely, and love filled family.... :)
It was nice that we were all actually together for Thanksgiving this year too -- missing Jessica (Marlow's girl) who was in Norway and Kelsey (Vance's girl) and Milt (Colleen's hubby who never comes to anything family)... but all the rest of us were there, at one time or another... big announcement that I am going to be a great auntie in April and first grandbaby for Marlows and first great grand too... so the family is ever expanding... not often that our clan get together (last time the 4 of us were together was at my aunts funeral in March and before that was my wedding in Jan of 09... so definitely important to savour the time together...
Glad you had a good one.

Sounds beautiful! I was so thankful to be able to go home for thanksgiving! EVERYONE was there and it was fabulous! Family just plain rocks!
Family is wonderful! So glad you had yours surrounding you this weekend. It's fun to host, even if it's in a tiny house. Your house looks wonderful, as much as I can see. The most precious thing is the smiles on those faces.
You know Paige, it's been a long time since I've seen you but I think you are more beautiful now than you were then....and you were very beautiful back then too!!! This comment comes from seeing that first picture of you on this post.
aw, you're sweet, Shari!
